At a Gala Dinner hosted by the CAFE Regina Chapter held at the Queensbury Centre on Friday May 28th, Beau's All Natural Brewing Company was awarded the Family Enterprise of the Year Award by the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise. The awards, sponsored by KPMG Enterprise and RBC Royal Bank are given in recognition of significant achievement within a Family Enterprise.
At a luncheon held on May 27th as part of the 2010 CAFE Symposium, the family stories of the three finalists Beau's All Natural Brewing Company (Ottawa Chapter), Flanagan Foodservice Inc (Southwestern Ontario Chapter), and Variperm Canada Limited (Calgary Chapter) were shared. Each were winners within their own chapters of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise. The winners from across Canada were also celebrated at the event.
Tim Beauchesne and his son Steve decided to launch a craft brewery over a pint of beer in the summer of 2004. On July 1, 2006 Beau’s All Natural Brewing became a reality shipping its first batch of beer out to seven restaurants in the Ottawa area. In a short three year history, Beau’s has established itself an excellent reputation for making award-winning beer, a high level of community involvement and sustainable business practices. Beau’s is one of only a handful of breweries around the world that are certified organic. Their unique beer styles and marketing approach have gained the attention of beer writers around the world. Beau’s record of business, community and brewing awards is growing almost as fast as the company itself.
“This award is a tribute to all our family, friends and employees who make our business what it is ; a fun and vibrant business,” commented Beauchesne. “This award is special and unique in that it honours the human side of the business."
